St Leonards Reserve Hall Conditions of Hire
Terms & Conditions of Hire
1. Bookings and Payment

1.1 All bookings must be made in writing via email – stleonardsreservehall@gmail.com and confirmed by the issuing of a hire agreement.
1.2 A security deposit of $500 is required to confirm the booking for an event or party. Full hire fees are payable 14 days prior to the event. Hiring of the hall on a regular basis only requires a key deposit of $25.
1.3 The hirer must be 18 years or older.
2. Cancellation

2.1 Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 14 days may forfeit the security deposit.
2.2 St Leonards Cricket Club or Bellarine Sharks reserves the right to cancel any booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. emergency repairs or extreme weather).
3. Use of Hall
​
3.1 The hall may only be used for purposes stated in the hire application.
3.2 The hirer is responsible for the conduct of guests and ensuring activities comply with local laws and noise regulations.
3.3 The venue must be vacated by midnight, and noise must be kept to a minimum after 11pm.
4. Cleaning and Damages

4.1 The hall must be returned in a clean and tidy condition. All rubbish is to be removed or placed in designated bins.
4.2 The hirer is liable for the cost of any damage, breakage, or additional cleaning required.
5. Alcohol and Smoking
​
5.1 Alcohol may not be served or consumed without prior approval and appropriate licensing.
5.2 Smoking is prohibited inside the hall and within 10m of entrances.
6. Insurance and Liability
​
6.1 Public liability insurance is required for commercial bookings and high-risk activities.
6.2 Management of the hall is not liable for personal injury, property loss, or damage incurred by the hirer or their guests.
7. Keys and Access
​
7.1 Access arrangements (key pickup and return) will be confirmed upon full payment. 7.2 The hirer must ensure doors are locked and lights/appliances are turned off when leaving.
8. Additional Terms
8.1 Decorations must not damage walls or fittings—adhesives, nails, or tape are prohibited unless approved.
8.2 Use of open flames, fireworks, or hazardous equipment is strictly prohibited without written consent.
